I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
