'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming
Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the first important trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he earlier was, and would definitely contemplate prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
